Biyu Jade He

Biyu He attained her B.S. in biology from Tsinghua University in 2004. She received her Ph.D. in Neurosciences from Washington University in St. Louis in 2009, where she studied the functional significance and spatiotemporal structures of spontaneous brain activity, as well as the neural basis of the fMRI signal. After doing a short post doc at Mallinkrodt Institute of Radiology at Washington University, she joined NIH as an early-stage investigator in August 2010. Topics currently studied in her lab include the dichotomy of conscious versus unconscious processing in the brain and the mechanisms, organizations and functions of scale-free brain activity.
